Profile 00: Hawk 81A-2 (P-8123) 2nd Pursuit Squadron, American Volunteer Group, Rangoon, Burma, January-February 1942. Flown by Edward Rector, squadron second in command. He finished the war as Colonel at the head of the 23rd Fighter Group with 10.75 kills.

Profile 00: P-8147 flown by Erik Schilling of the 2nd Pursuit Squadron. This aircraft was converted to a photo recoil platform by removing the wing guns and cutting a 10-inch hole for a camera in the bottom of the fuselage directly under the fuselage access hatch. Several excellent color photographs have been published over the years showing the shark's mouth of this aircraft with ‘Chinese Blue’ lips.
