Formed Aug 1939 in GOttingen as the Fliegerforstschützverband, and would later (1942?) become Erprobungskommando 40.

Operated in the Danube area and later on the Eastern Front as a pest control unit.

In 1944 based at Coburg, and was disbanded Oct 1944.

Used the following aircraft: Do 13, Do 23, Fi 156, Fw 59 and He 45.
