Formed Jan 1935 in Gorlitz as Fliegerübungsstelle Gorlitz, from 1 Apr 1938 FFS E (A/B) Gorlitz, and from 1 Sep 1939 FFS A/B Gorlitz.

On 16 Jan 1940 redesignated Flugzeugführerschule A/B 1 (FFS A/B 1), under Höh.Fl.Ausb.Kdo 4.

On 15 Oct 1943 redesignated Flugzeugführerschule A1, moved to Kamenz on 21 Jan 1945. Disbanded 4 Feb 1945.
