Formed 1 Nov 1937 in Quedlinburg as FFS A Quedlinburg (from Fliegerausbildungsstell eQuedlinburg, formed 1936). On 1 Nov 1938 became FFS A/B Quedlinburg, and from 1 Apr 1939 Schule/FAR.62, attached to Flieger-Ausbildungs-Regiment 62.
On 16 Oct 1941 redesignated Flugzeugführerschule A/B 62 (FFS A/B 62).
Disbanded 1 Jul 1943, and was used to form JG108.
Used the following aircraft: Ar 66, Ar 76, Ar 96, Benes B.51, Bu 131, Bu 181, C.445, Fw 44, Fw 56, Fw 58, He 51, He 72, Kl 35, W.12, W.33, W.34 and Zlin 212
