4. and 5./Res.224 was formed in 1941 (4. new and 5. from le.Res.Flak-Bttr. 62).

In Oct 1941 redesignated s.Flak-Abteilung 423 with :

Stab/Res.224 became Stab/423
1. - 4./Res.224 became 1. - 4./423
5./Res.224 became 2./822
