Formed 1 Oct 1935 in Dresden for Luftkreis III with:

• 1./Ln.Rgt.13 in Dresden from Luftkreis-Nachrichtenkompanie 3 (formed 1 Apr 1934)
• 5.(Ers.)/Ln.Rgt.13 in Nordhausen

During 1936-1937 the following units were formed:

• Stab I./Ln.Rgt.13 in Dresden (1 Nov 1936)
• Stab II./Ln.Rgt.13 in Nordhausen (1 Apr 1937)
• 2./Ln.Rgt.13 in Dresden (1 Oct 1936)
• 3./Ln.Rgt.13 in Dresden (1 Oct 1937)
• 6.(Ers.)/Ln.Rgt.13 in Nordhausen (1 Oct 1936)
• 7.(Ers.)/Ln.Rgt.13 in Nordhausen (1 Apr 1937)
• 8.(Ers.)/Ln.Rgt.13 in Nordhausen (1 Oct 1937)

The planned formation of Stab/Ln.Rgt.13, and 4./Ln.Rgt.13 never took place.

On 1 Jul 1938 disbanded:

Stab I./Ln.Rgt.13 became Stab II./Ln.Rgt.1
1./Ln.Rgt.13 became 5./Ln.Rgt.1
2./Ln.Rgt.13 became 6./Ln.Rgt.1
3./Ln.Rgt.13 became 7./Ln.Rgt.1
Stab II./Ln.Rgt.13 became Stab I./Luftgau-Nachrichten-Regiment 4
5.-8./Ln.Rgt.13 was used to form 1., 4., 6./Luftgau-Nachrichten-Regiment 4
