• 1./Ln.Rgt.15 in München from Luftkreis-Nachrichtenkompanie 5 (formed 1 Apr 1934)
• 5.(Ers.)/Ln.Rgt.15 in Augsburg

During 1936-1937 the following units were formed:

• Stab I./Ln.Rgt.15 in München (1 Nov 1936)
• Stab II./Ln.Rgt.15 in Augsburg (1 Apr 1937)
• 2./Ln.Rgt.15 in München (1 Oct 1936)
• 3./Ln.Rgt.15 in München (1 Oct 1937)
• 6.(Ers.)/Ln.Rgt.15 in Augsburg (1 Oct 1936)
• 7.(Ers.)/Ln.Rgt.15 in Augsburg (1 Apr 1937)
• 8.(Ers.)/Ln.Rgt.15 in Augsburg (1 Oct 1937)

The planned formation of Stab/Ln.Rgt.15, and 4./Ln.Rgt.15 never took place.

On 1 Jul 1938 disbanded:

Stab I./Ln.Rgt.15 became Stab I./Ln.Rgt.3
1./Ln.Rgt.15 became 1./Ln.Rgt.3
2./Ln.Rgt.15 became 2./Ln.Rgt.3
3./Ln.Rgt.15 became 3./Ln.Rgt.3
Stab II./Ln.Rgt.15 became Stab I./Luftgau-Nachrichten-Regiment 7
5.-8./Ln.Rgt.15 was used to form 1., 4., 6./Luftgau-Nachrichten-Regiment 7*
