In Aug 1941 Stab/Ln.Rgt.24 became Stab/Luftgau-Nachrichten-Regiment Rostow, and I. - III./24 now became independent.

In Jan 1945 9./Ln.Rgt.24 became 5./Ln.Rgt.42, and Gerätekolonne III./Ln.Rgt.24 became Gerätekolonne II./Ln.Rgt.42; Stab III./Ln.Rgt.24 and 5./Ln.Rgt.24 was disbanded. Apparently 4., 6. and 7./Ln.Rgt.24 was also disbanded at this time.
