Formed ? This unit presumably flew transport missions to relieve German 16th Army troops encircled at Kholm and near Demyansk (Russian Front central sector). Schleppgruppe 4 based at Pskov-South on the Eastern Front early in 1942. Glider operations were for the most part confined to delivering troops and equipment to the front, rather than airborne assault.
