Lost were:Capt. William A. Garnett, pilot, Lt. Frank A. Corts, co-pilot, Lt. Newell A. Wells, navigator, Lt. William Crooks, bombardier, and Cpl. Reese S. Davies, gunner. Cpl. Sanger E. Reed, engineer, and S/Sgt. Theron K. Lutz managed to bail out, were captured, and spent 41-months as prisoners before being released at war's end. They were the only airmen from the 22nd Bomb Group who were captured and lived to tell about it. Disposal: 18-Apr-42
