FG-1D Unit: Escuadrilla 2, Escuadron Caza Bombardeo, Fuerza Aerea Salvadorena Serial: FAS-205 Circa 1965. The second batch of FG-1D's supplied to El Salvador wore a camouflage in dark blue. It remains unclear if this was the same 'mid-nite' as used on FAH Corsairs, or some other shade. The example depicted here, serialled '205', also had the FAS insignia applied behind the engine cowling. The aircraft was most likely originally painted Gull-Gray overall: this colour was left only on the undersides, while the upper sides have got a heavy disruptive pattern in Light and Forrest Green.
