Heinkel He 111H6 Stkz BKCO WNr 3891 test aircraft L950 torpedo 01-04

Heinkel He 111H4 with factory coded Stammkennzeichen BK+CO W.Nr 3891 was used as a test aircraft for the L 950 torpedo. Photographs show the first airbourne torpedo tests with practice LT P5B along the Baltic Coast 1941.

Heinkel He 111 CA+NA Helsinki 1942 01

Photo 01: Focke-Wulf FW-200C-4/U9 passenger plane of WNr. 099, passenger plane coded KE+IX at Immola on 4 June 1942. Adolf Hitler arrived in this aircraft to the 75th birthday of the Marshal of Finland Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim. The He 111P2 behind is coded Stammkennzeichen CA+NA photo's 01-04

Further note from Chris: It belonged to FdF (Fliegerstaffel der Fuhrers) the overboots in foreground belonged to one of the station officers who swiftly donated them when it was realised that GROFHAZ would get his tootsies muddy. GROFHAZ may have been many things but he wasn't a pansy and scorned the offer however he DID take them on the way back because he suffered from cold feet and He 111s were well known as being drafty!

Heinkel He 111H6 with factory code DF+OV was used as a test aircraft for the L 950 torpedo.
