Known Aircraft: Bu 131 & Bu 181 in LKS-3, Ju 88 & He 111 in BFS, Fw 190A-8 'Red 7', Fw 190D-9 WNr 500111 'Red 4' (lost 3/2/45)

Remarks: Shot down with wounds 2 March, 1944 during aerial combat at Aussig with P-51's of 486FS, 352FG. He was the only one of a schwarm of four to survive. Killed were Stfkpt Lt Walter Kropp and Uffz's H. Hager and Wolfgang Ehrlich. Joined the Luftwaffe on 1 March, 1943. His initial training was for Night Fighters while in BFS (Blind Flieger Schule) at Kastrup, Copenhagen, Denmark. Then joined JG-110 for Bf 110 and Me 410 training at Pretzsch, on the River Elbe. Moved to Altenburg in November, 1944 for Fw 190 conversion training. His last flight of the war was on 2 March, 1945. Deceased 22 October, 1996.
