Photo 01: While the aircraft of KG2 often carried a white diagonal line on their noses, K54 had a similar marking but painted on the fuselage sides aft of the wing trailing edge. In this photograph of a Junkers Ju 88A-4 of 4./KG54 coded B3+FM has been overpainted with temporary black lacquer. This Staffel was commanded by Oblt. Hans-Joachim Rieks who was later taken prisoner in Russia on 19th July 1942.

Profile 00: The Ju 88A-4 of 5./KG54 coded B3+IN has been blacked out but in this case the Hakenkreuz (swastika) hasn't been overpainted unlike the national insignia.
Photo 01: This photograph shows how many ground crew it takes to man handle a Ju 88A-4 around. During the early summer of 1941 5 Staffel KG54 was commanded by Oblt. Gunther Seubert who was later killed in Russia on 4th March 1942.

Profile 00: Ju 88A-4 of IV.(Erg)Gruppe/KG54 coded B3+KE based at Parndorf in Germany between May and December 1943. Ergänzungsgruppe was roughly an operational training unit, although its main role was training, it undertook operational sorties as the need arose. The commander of IV./KG54 at this time was Major Helmut Stamm.
Profile 00: This Ju 88A-4 aircraft still bears the markings of 13.(Erg)Gruppe/KG54 coded B3+LX to which it had previously belonged, but now allocated to the Stuka Schule and coded white 34 which was based at Tours in France late 1943. Ergänzungsgruppe was roughly an operational training unit, although it's main role was training, it undertook operational sorties as the need arose.
