Photo 01: Completed during early 1943 as a composite airframe, this Ju 88V-58 coded Stkz GI+BW featured the tail of the Ju-188 bomber, extra fuel and BMW 801D radial engines. The port trailing antenna was repositioned and a retractable radio antenna (which is extended) was installed behind the cockpit. (Imperial War Museum)
