Aircraft facilities and on-board accommodation:

Capacity: The ship can carry up to 6 aircraft of type: Ar. 196 on board. 4 aircraft are housed in the 3 hangers and 2 on-board aircraft are on the catapults

Hangar 1: Superstructure deck, amidships, frame 94 - 106, accommodates 2 aircraft on board

Hangar 2: Port hanger, superstructure deck next to the chimney, frame 122 - 134, accommodation for 1 aircraft

Hangar 3: Starboard hanger, superstructure deck next to the chimney, frame 122 - 134, mount for 1 aircraft

Aircraft workshop: Deckhouse ceiling, inside, frame 82 - 87.5.

For repairs to aircraft.

Aircraft sling: The double telescopic catapults of the Deutsche Werke were located amidships and had a length of 16 m each (starboard and port), which couldbe raised up to 24 m beyond the ship's side. The catapults are located to the left and right of hangar 1.

Takeover facility:

2 fixed boat cranes on the superstructure deck, frame 121 at port and starboard, are used for loading and unloading aircraft and boats up to 12 t inweight.

2 fixed moving cranes on the chimney below the headlight platform per port and starboard, frame 114,950, are used to move aircraft up to 4 t inweight.

4 agglomeration scales to park and retract the aircraft.

Hydraulic, extendable clusters as supports for the aircraft on board, a total of 12 pieces.

4 each on starboard and port on the superstructure deck,2x each on the left and right of the catapults.

1 turntable, moves onto the slingshot rail.

Aircraft fuel system: There are 2 aircraft fuel systems on board with a total of 4 fuel tanks.

The 4 taps are located in the aircraft hangar 1 on the outside walls insidestarboard and port and in the hangar 2 and 3 on the outside walls inside.

3 aircraft lube oil tanks, each 70 l, are also available.
